Saul Guerrero has been in labor for over 15-years and is passionate about working in cannabis. He understand the importance of the labor movement empowering the working people.
The Local 338 has been able to set high standards for this industry. including higher wages, guaranteed increases, more PTO (paid time off), healthcare, job protections amongst many other things.
The Local 338 has been very successful in organizing this industry due to our dedicated involvement in the legislative process and making labor peace agreements part of the requirements for licensing. Through our continued efforts to organize in NYS’s adult use cannabis industry, we'll ensure the higher standards established thus far are maintained and even improved upon.
Mayor Kraham was sworn into office as Binghamton’s 51st Mayor on January 1, 2022.
As deputy mayor for more than seven years, Mayor Kraham built a strong bipartisan track record advancing hundreds of pieces of legislation. He led efforts to reduce blight, upgrade City parks and invest in 21st-century public safety strategies to keep residents safe. As a clean energy advocate, Mayor Kraham also led the charge on sustainability efforts, earning Binghamton statewide recognition as a leader in green initiatives and policy.
Since his inauguration in January 2022, Mayor Kraham has made the development of the cannabis industry in Binghamton a priority for economic growth and community revitalization. With the recent announcement of proposed zoning regulations for cannabis-related businesses and a proposed manufacturing facility being advanced by noted cannabis brand STIIIZY, the City of Binghamton stands ready to welcome the cannabis industry and the associated jobs and investment.
